Configuring Networks Solutions to use your custom hostname
Step 1: Sign up for an account and register a domain at Network Solutions, if you haven't already. Log in and click on Domains to expand the selection, then click on Manage Domain Names.

Step 2: Check the box beside the domain you wish to configure and then click Edit DNS.

Step 3: If any A Records already exist, click Add/Edit and then delete them. The A Record dialog may look like this to start:

If you wish to create an A record so that your site visitors do not have to enter www before your domain, you can set that up now.
After editing it should look like this: Be sure to check the delete beside the www record.

When you are finished, you will be asked to confirm your changes.

Step 4: Click Add/Edit under Host Aliases: CNAME Records.

Save your changes and logout of Network Solutions.
It may take 24-48 hours for your changes to take effect. Once your domain resolves to the smugmug.com homepage, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Type the entire domain name you're forwarding into the space provided by SmugMug in your control panel.

Gotcha: They must be all lower-case or it won't work.
Don't add http:// or any / marks. Just type www.yourdomain.com (or photos.yourdomain.com, for example, if you set it up that way).
Step 7: Be patient. It takes 24-48 hours for DNS changes to take effect.
